Town Hill

Installation of the Manned Space Flight Network (MSFN) stationed at Bermuda commenced in 1960 and was a dual site in that the control and main body of equipment was located at Coopers Island and all of the spacecraft communications receiving equipment was located at Town Hill, some six air miles from Coopers Island.  The Town Hill station also included active acquisition aid and receiving antennas on separate towers.
