Tudor Hill Connection

Tudor Hill was a secret U.S. communications base located in Southanpton Parish next to Port Royal Golf Course. The 25 acre site, part of a $16 billion worldwide US Navy listening complex called Sound Surveillance System, was the site of a hi-tech Cold War listening device that spread out on cables along the seabed from Bermuda as far as Iceland.

Before the Navy pulled out of Bermuda, Tudor Hill was the centre for a series of deep ocean microphones used to listen for Soviet submarines.
